Borage grows to be about 2’ tall with gorgeous, star-shaped blue blooms that open up in early to mid-summer. It prefers full sun and once planted will self-seed, making it an easy and long-lasting addition to the garden.

In zones 9-10, Borage grows best in the fall and the spring. Hot summer temperatures in these zones could distress your plants. Start the seeds in the fall for blooms all winter and spring.

In zones 2-8, sow Borage in spring once the soil has warmed.
