A beautiful native wildflower, Compass Plant has a range from Ontario, through the central and eastern regions of the United States, and as far west as New Mexico. It's seed provides vital food for birds, and attracts a variety of native pollinators with its nectar. Named for the fact that its leaves always grow facing east and west with their tips pointed north, Compass Plant prefers full sun and can grow up to 9’ tall. Its prolific yellow blooms, long bloom time, and statuesque height make it the perfect choice for a larger prairie, meadow or the back of a garden border.
