Kankakee Mallow, or Iliamna remota, is part of the mallow family and has a truly rich history. Found only on the banks of the Kankakee River in Illinois, it thrives in abandoned fields, riverbanks, woodland edges and more. A truly versatile wildflower, Kankakee Mallow thrives in full or partial sun, well-draining soil that can be moist to somewhat dry and contain some rocky material.

Kankakee Mallow will thrive in a backyard garden and boasts attractive foliage and flowers. The elegant, white/pink blooms last up to two months in the summer and are slightly fragrant. This is a must-have for the native wildflower gardener!
