Bradbury's Bee Balm
Bradbury’s Bee Balm is a wildflower native to rocky upland forests and bluffs, savannas, woodland meadows, and roadsides in the central and south-central United States. Its most often found in dryish, rocky, and acidic soils and performs best in zones 5-8. Plant in full sun to part shade in lean, dry to average well-draining soil. Bradbury’s Bee Balm is resistant to powdery mildew, but it is a good idea to provide good air circulation around plants with adequate spacing to prevent rust. Plants readily self-seed, making them a good choice for naturalized plantings. Deadhead spent flowers to prolong the bloom period and reduce reseeding. The showy blooms of Bradbury’s Beebalm make a lovely addition to cut flower arrangements.
